We're back after the summer and the fantastic London 2012, with our new event and organisation names - Facebook Developers London events, hosted by Social Developers London, and a new monthly night (second Wednesday). We're the same people putting on the same great events, at our new venue at Google Campus (close to Old Street, Shoreditch High Street, Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations), right in the heart of London's digital and start-up hub, Silicon Roundabout.
To celebrate our new location, all tickets are priced at just £5, which includes pizza that will be served during the evening. A cash bar will be available for alcoholic and soft drinks.
Our guest talks this time come from Toby Margetts and Charlie Lyons from Beyond who will run down their Top Five Smoking Hot Social Campaigns from the summer - the brands that are getting it very right. Rohan Abraham from Webdigi UK will cover their lessons learnt building the first ever social media TV channel, and Michael Armstrong from Quickblox will tell us about ChattAR, which allows augmented reality chat over Facebook.
Committee member and Facebook application developer Eamonn Gahan will take us through all the important platform updates since our last event, freelance developer and our secretary Dave Nattriss will cover the hottest apps and pages on Facebook, and starting everything off, SDL Chairman and host for the evening Todd Chaffee will give us a quick update on general Facebook and other social platform news. The talks will begin at 7pm.
We’ll have our now regular 'show and share' section later on where you can give a quick talk/demo about whatever you’ve been working on - just sign up on the board at the front of the talk room to share anything Facebook or social media related with the audience. You can talk for up to two minutes, and can show slides from your computer if you’ve got a VGA connection, or use a browser on ours.

Couldn't make it last time or never been before? Here's a quick video report giving you a flavour of the event - there's much more information (including video recordings and slides from most of the talks) on our website:
Our events often sell out within days, so be quick to buy your ticket(s). We'll go for after-drinks at The Windmill over the road for those that want to wind down afterwards.
Tickets are available through Eventbrite - you must buy in advance to guarantee entry on the night.
If you miss out on or can't make this one, we look forward to seeing you at our next event, taking place in November.
As always we are grateful for the sponsorship of our events - thanks to our new venue sponsors Central Working. If your organisation is interested in sponsoring us, please contact us for more information.
I'll be honest, I couldn't make the event itself, but the reports I have heard have been so positive I wanted to pass them on to readers.

Good to be back after the summer. Eamonn's talk on Platform updates was great.

I think than generally it was ok but I was expecting more social projects and tools that would be handy for my project. It was too much about statistics for FB apps usage and ad campaigns.

Just got a mail telling me need to sign up on Eventbrite, but going on the site I cant see how I can buy a ticket there? Can you help?

Nick - this is a ticketed event, yes. If you read the event description, there is a link to the Eventbrite page to buy tickets.

This event is going to be our first at Google's Campus - I'm excited that this is happening and made possible by our new venue Sponsors @CentralWorking. Please encourage their support by thanking them on Facebook or Twitter, or in person when you see them on the night!
